Founded in1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, Jaipur is the largest city and capital of the Northern India State of Rajasthan. It is home to about 3.1 million people and is fondly referred to as the Pink City of India. Below are a couple of cool things you can do in the city.

1. Stay at The Presidential Suite at the Raj Palace Hotel, billed at US$45,000 per night. This suite is listed as the second most expensive hotel suites in the world as complied by CNN Go in 2012. Trust me; if you have the kind of money to spend at this hotel, then you have already earned the bragging rights among your peers.

2. Another popular tourist activity in Jaipur is visiting the Jaipur monuments that include; Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Jal Mahal, Rambagh Palace, and Albert Hall Museum.

3. You can also take a tour of places of worship and temples such as Govind Dev Ji Temple, Garh Ganesh Temple, Panchayati Hall, Sri Sri Krishna Balram Temple, Akshardham Mandir and many more.

4. Picnicking at Jaipur's Gardens panoramic gardens beats any other activity you can engage in the city. These gardens include; Ram Niwas Garden, Sisodia Rani Garden and Palace, Jawahar Circle Garden, Central Park and Kanak Ghati.

5. Are you a gourmet dinner? Take heart. Jaipur has some of the best cuisines in India. They include; Dal Baati Churma, Missi Roti, Ghevar, Feeni, Gajak, Chauguni ke laddu, Moong Thal and many more at restaurants such as Nibs Cafe & Chcolataria, Peshawari, Lassiwala and Peacock Roof Top Restaurant among many others.

6. You can also engage in a host of festivals that are native to Jaipur including Gangaur Festival, Diwali, Jaipur Literature Festival, and Teej.

7. If you are more into sports, then Jaipur has a place for you - the 30,000-seater Sawai Mansingh Stadium where you can watch your IPL matches.

The above list of cool things to do in Jaipur is by no means exhaustive. There are hundreds of fun things that you can do in the city but due to space limitations, I have just listed the most popular. Feel free to add more.
